Corporate Tax Assistant Manager in a top 15 Accountancy Practice based in London! We are working closely with our client to further expand their increasingly growing corporation tax team who are looking for an assistant manager to manage a portfolio of OMBs, listed companies, multinational groups, and private equity backed businesses.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing your compliance portfolio, assisting both senior managers and directors in managing their work. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Computing corporation tax returns and ensuring they are filed with accuracy and on time as well as calculating tax liabilities
  • Acting as the direct contact for clients and both managing and fostering these relationships
  • Preparing tax accounting schedules for the inclusion within the statutory accounts
  • Identifying opportunities to win work and consider tax planning options
  • Monitor junior staff performance and provide essential feedback as well as tend to their necessary training requirements
  • Supporting senior managers, directors and partners on advisory projects
  • Working on ad-hoc technical research tasks when required

Requirements

Candidates will need to be fully CTA/ACA qualified or equivalent, with solid knowledge of corporation tax compliance, advisory work, and tax planning.

Additional requirements include:

  • Experience in managing a client portfolio
  • Understanding of advisory work and potential tax issues which clients may face
  • Demonstrate the ability to draft tax disclosures
  • Show confidence in dealing with clients on a daily basis
  • Experience in reviewing junior work and providing feedback as well as on-the-job training
  • Strong business awareness and a willingness to be involved in business development
  • Keenness to develop and grow and show enthusiasm within the business
