THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting chance to join a growing team as an IT Systems Technician.

We are thrilled to support our client's expansion by looking for an additional IT Systems Technician to provide technical assistance to internal colleagues and external partners. Operating within the fulfilment industry, they support well-known delivery brands like Amazon, Etsy, and eBay, among others.

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
Location: Gateshead
Hybrid working: No, this role requires you to be on-site 5 days a week.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm, plus 1 Sunday morning in 4 (8am-1pm)
Driver's Licence and Car: Essential

THE ROLE

You will be a key player in the growing business and IT service desk, working closely with a dedicated team. Your main responsibilities will include providing 1st and 2nd line technical troubleshooting, management, and maintenance of hardware and software within the organisation. While your primary focus will be on technical support, there's a great opportunity to engage in data-related tasks as our business develops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Head of IT Services to maintain and support IT systems, software, and hardware for both clients and the organisation.
  • Providing multi-site support across Gateshead and Peterlee (driver's licence & car essential).
  • Performing system administration tasks.
  • Ensuring an excellent customer journey in line with the established onboarding process SOP.
  • Facilitating a seamless transition to the operations team.
  • Supporting the setup and operation of new and existing clients through our order processing system (Mintsoft).
  • Contributing to the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Analysing data and generating company reports.
  • Training clients and staff on various aspects of our systems.
  • Setting up clients on the customer service software system, infrastructure, and hardware.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To thrive in this role, you should have prior experience in:

  • Maintaining and supporting IT systems, software, and hardware while swiftly resolving issues.
  • Supporting IT Service Desk operations.
  • Engaging in data analytics, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and essential functions for report generation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce web platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, and Amazon is advantageous.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new clients' systems and data.
  • Integrating customer selling platforms with our internal system.
  • Conducting system demonstrations and providing training, both internally and externally.
  • Contributing to the automation of current processes and producing SOPs.
  • Compiling management reports and creating customised reports as needed.
