We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join a great team in HD1. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of payroll services. You'll also lead a team of payroll administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.
- Supervise a team of payroll administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with clients to gather payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and address enquiries.
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all payroll processes.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, such as tax authorities.
Department Details:
- The payroll bureau handles approximately 550 clients per year.
- The Payroll Manager will personally cover 160-180 clients.
- Weekly payrolls range from 2 to 100 employees, while monthly payrolls range from 2 to 200 employees.
Technology:
The team currently uses legacy software (Super Pay), although the transition to SagePayroll is underway. Experience with SagePayroll is desirable but not essential.
Desired Experience:
Experience in practice and bureau is essential for this role.
