Compliance Monitoring Analyst

in our office in Leighton Buzzard.

Flexible working arrangements with requirements to visit Head Office or branch sites. A company laptop is provided to help you deliver within this position.

About the Job

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of second line monitoring and mystery shopping activity across the Connells Group Estate Agency functions. You will manage the relationship with our specialist mystery shopping provider and manage the outputs of their activity. You will share findings and conclusions and engage with senior leaders in our business.

What you will need to deliver:

  • Regular, prompt analysis of individual mystery shopping results.
  • Prepare regular, prompt, relevant and concise reporting on the findings for management, including recommendations for addressing any weaknesses found.
  • Track, report and keep records on the progress of remedial actions and where appropriate, guide management in implementing necessary improvements.
  • Work closely with the Data Analytics and Reporting Specialist to supply regular reports to committees on the risks found from mystery shopping.
  • Keep abreast of best practice and external developments in the area of monitoring and ensure that learning is applied.
  • Assist with special investigations as required in response to breaches or other issues arising, including occasional visits to branches.
  • Identify and escalate at the earliest opportunity any significant regulatory issues to the line manager in a clear and accurate manner.

What you will have:

  • Relevant experience within the Estate Agency industry, with knowledge of mortgage services preferable.
  • Sound understanding of Estate Agency regulations, TPOS code of conduct, or FCA Regulation, including MCOB.
  • A team player, with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with Stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality written work and reporting.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Confidence to provide appropriate and commercial challenge to the business.
  • Relevant professional mortgage qualification or willingness to undertake qualification.
