Location: Welwyn Garden City, Herfordshire

Salary: Apprenticeship wage (in line with national guidelines)

Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (Apprenticeship)

Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

About the Role:

As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning
  • Assist with planning, preparing resources, and classroom displays
  • Help to maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Receive hands-on experience and tailored training as part of your apprenticeship

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is patient, flexible, and able to work well in a team
  • Is willing to complete a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship qualification
