Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Head Teacher to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the school's vision and ethos, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and supporting the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Teacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
- Lead on curriculum development and ensure the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Oversee the implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, providing feedback and support to staff.
- Manage staff performance and professional development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the school's values and achievements.
- Deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Significant experience in a leadership role within a secondary school.
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
