Description
- Supervise and mentor a team of 5 payroll assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee the processing of payroll for over 2000 employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage payroll-related tasks such as calculating wages, processing deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Collaborate with the HR department to administer employee benefits, deductions, and adjustments accurately.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and analyse payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and identifying areas for improvement.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve employee concerns or discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Implement and maintain efficient payroll processes and procedures to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data and records at all times.
Profile
- Minimum of at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP etc)
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- May be working towards an accountancy degree
