SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in an SEN school located in Ealing. This role is ideal for someone with experience in special educational needs (SEN), looking to make a positive impact on students of secondary age. The position requires an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers to adapt materials and resources to meet the needs of students.
- Monitor and support the social and emotional development of students.
- Facilitate small group activities and one-on-one support sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- Familiarity with the challenges faced by secondary age students with special needs.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
