Role Overview: The Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, ensuring financial health, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a highly qualified accountant with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.

Strategic Planning:

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic planning.

Conduct financial analysis and modelling to evaluate business performance and opportunities.

Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and objectives.

Cost Control and Efficiency:

Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs and variances.

Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Develop and maintain product costing systems and margin analysis.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax and audit requirements.

Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and risk management practices.

Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Manage performance, set goals, and provide regular feedback to team members.

Promote a collaborative and results-oriented working environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a financial management role, with significant experience in the manufacturing sector.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proven leadership and team management experience.
