Position: CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator
Salary: £35,000 to £43,500.00 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am till 3.45pm and Friday 6am till 1pm
Location: Commutable from Camberley, Bracknell, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford, Aldershot and surrounding areas

An established and growing manufacturing company who precision machined parts and solutions to various industries, mainly Aerospace and Defence, are on the lookout for a CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator with programming experience who are looking for a career move. They've had significant investment across the company resulting in new machinery coming into the factory and this role will have responsibility for taking a drawing and run the machines of 3 Bridgeport 4 axis and 1 Mikron 3 axis across a mix of mainly Heidenhain Controls etc.

Responsibilities

  • Programme and set up milling machines in accordance with engineers' drawings including downloading programmes into the machinery, loading proper cutting tools and mounting, installing, aligning & securing workpieces onto the machine;
  • Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts;
  • Test run machine, verify parts to drawings, consult with Quality Manager as required and continue to inspect parts for quality throughout the run;
  • Change and adjust machine parameters and tooling as required to meet dimensional and output requirements
  • Responsible for daily inspection and cleaning of the milling machines, tooling and parts to maintain equipment in optimal production condition;

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in engineering and working in a similar field/industry would be beneficial. (training will be given).
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machine setup and operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • A quick learner and adaptable to change.
  • Proactive and a great team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines
