Dynamic and leading law firm based in the beautiful county of Somerset are looking for an experienced Childcare Law Solicitor. This is a permanent full-time role with the opportunity for hybrid working for the right candidate. You will be dealing with Care Proceedings and must have a solid experience of legal aid childcare law matters. The firm are expanding and are looking for top-tier, talented individuals who can bring something special to the firm.
Role Involves:
- Handling your own caseload of publicly funded childcare law matters including care proceedings
- Providing supervision and guidance to junior members of the team
- Conducting client meetings and regularly liaising with clients and relevant parties to keep everyone updated
- Full case preparation
- Advocacy in the County and Family Proceedings Court
Required skills:
- Ideally at least 2 years relevant childcare law experience including advocacy
- Clean, valid practising certificate
- Proven expertise in dealing with care proceedings and publicly funded childcare matters
- Solid knowledge of legal aid and SRA regulations
- Ideally Children's Panel Membership
- Excellent communication and client care skills with the ability to deal with vulnerable individuals
- Demonstrable team working skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
