Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice

This role has a starting salary of £22,599 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

This role is a 24-month fixed term apprenticeship opportunity.

We are very excited to be recruiting a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice for the fantastic All Age Autism team here at Surrey County Council.

About Us

The School Autism Friendly Review (SAFR) team is part of the All Age Autism team which sits in Children's Commissioning. The SAFR team will focus on implementing Surrey County Councils All Age Autism Strategy (attached) which aims to support society to become more autism friendly. The SAFR team will focus on supporting education settings to develop inclusion to promote a sense of belonging for all neurodivergent children and young people.

The All Age Autism team is a small dynamic group, the majority of which are autistic. We work collaboratively and in partnership with people with lived experience.

Please note: This apprenticeship is only available for those who will not be enrolled in another government funded programme as of 1st September 2024 and do not possess a qualification at a higher or the same level as this one in the same subject. About your Apprenticeship

We want this apprenticeship to be an opportunity for you to gain experience across a wide range of duties putting you in the best position to succeed in your apprenticeship qualification and take the first steps on your career journey! In this role, you will:

  • Support the delivery of the Surrey County Council All Age Autism Strategy with a focus on the School Autism Friendly Review project. This will include engagement with educational settings to support the development of inclusive approaches.
  • You will be liaising with educational settings to organise and complete School Autism Friendly Reviews. You will be liaising with students, parent carers and with professionals. You will be collating information and presenting feedback to educational settings. You will be contributing to the compilation of School Autism Friendly Review reports.
  • Other tasks will include supporting coproduction in the All Age Autism Strategy by organising meetings with a wide range of partners including parent carers and young people.

We won't be expecting you to jump in and be able to do this all from day one. You'll first go through an induction period allowing you to get used to the office and the team. As you gain more confidence in your role, you'll be supported to do more and more!

If you do not hold an English and Maths GCSE graded A-C or 4-9, you will be required to complete these in addition to the apprenticeship in order to achieve the apprenticeship qualification. Additional tutoring and support will be provided.
