Their innovative solutions are driving industry transformation, and are currently seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join their finance team in a newly created vacancy.
The Financial Controller will be the second in the finance department, supporting the Finance Director, and managing a team below. This role encompasses a broad range of financial responsibilities, including technical accounting, financial reporting, and overseeing international finance operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the business as it scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Accounting: Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, consolidations, and multi-currency transactions.
- International Finance: Manage financial operations across multiple international subsidiaries. Ensure compliance with local regulations and effective currency management.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and support for business growth.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Ensure timely completion of audits and compliance with relevant laws.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in a tech scaleup environment. Proven experience in managing international financial operations.

Strong technical accounting expertise, including IFRS and GAAP.

Proficiency in financial reporting and consolidation.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
