Role Overview

This billing analyst role requires hands-on analysis activity but will vary according to which of the following teams you will be working on:

Invoicing

  • Process the data generated by the business to create invoices through a combination of automated and manual processes
  • Manage all current billing streams, ensuring customers are accurately allocated to the appropriate billing stream(s)
  • Provide analysis and reporting on invoicing data and all corresponding business data sources
  • Monitor and record the completeness of the full Whistl billing cycle
  • Support the Team Leader in the production of team reports for the business

Data

  • Ensure data received and used by the team is clean, accurate, and available within the required time frames
  • Work with the team to ensure that all supporting data outputs are generated for use by other stakeholders
  • Identify, highlight, and look to develop solutions to problems within regular processes or created by business change/system issues
  • Carry out analytical reviews of data within the team and report to the wider business areas
  • Provide analysis and support for ad-hoc projects

Quality & Revenue Assurance

  • Monitor and report on service-level compliance
  • Perform completeness checks on the revenue cycle and adherence to internal controls
  • Proactively seek and implement process enhancements
  • Deliver best-in-class processes and outputs
  • Analyse business data streams, report trends and suggest solutions
  • Conduct analytical reviews of data with the team and provide feedback
  • Build and maintain accurate revenue reconciliations
  • Ensure monthly completion of internal control frameworks and support control audits
  • Drive continuous improvement through insight and data analysis

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a corporate environment handling standard processes and high volumes of data
  • Collaborates in a small team, delivering high-quality service to customers and Whistl stakeholders
  • Analyses data, identifies trends, draws conclusions, thinks creatively, and makes recommendations
  • Self-motivated, with quick turnaround times while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders at various levels
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to prioritise workload to meet varied and demanding deadlines
  • IT literate, proficient in MS Office, especially intermediate Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups, filters, etc.) and familiarity with invoicing practices and Microsoft Navision Dynamics
  • Confident in questioning and challenging norms to drive continuous process improvement
  • Able to take the lead in analysing or reviewing issues relevant to team activities
