We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team.

Job role overview:

We are looking for a talented Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality education to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. This role is ideal for both experienced Maths Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Create and implement lesson plans that inspire and challenge students, fostering a love for mathematics.
  • Assess and Evaluate: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respectful behaviour.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the maths curriculum, ensuring it meets national standards and engages students.
  • Support Student Progress: Provide additional support and intervention for students who need extra help, and challenge those who excel.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in maths education.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with the teaching team and contribute to a supportive and innovative school culture.

Valid Experiences:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold valid QTS in the UK.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching mathematics at KS3 and KS4 levels. Experience can range from ECTs to more experienced educators.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for mathematics.
  • Classroom Management: Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively, fostering a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Student Engagement: Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teaching, reporting, and collaboration.
