Interim Finance Project Manager

We are supporting our client, rapidly evolving business in the East Midlands, to recruit an Interim Finance Project Manager. The role will collaborate closely with the Finance senior leadership to support the delivery of multiple finance projects as part of an ongoing wider transformation agenda**.**

The position is on a 9-12 month contract, two days onsite required, with opportunities to be extended further, paying £650-£700 (outside IR35).

Location: East Midlands (two days onsite)

Contract length: 3 months ongoing

Candidate rate: £650-£700 per day (outside IR35)

Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Project Manager

  • Analyse existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for automation
  • Develop and implement solutions to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of improvement initiatives, and regularly update stakeholders on progress and outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop innovative solutions
  • Oversee financial controls, ensuring compliance and efficiency within the integrated business
  • Deliver strategic recommendations to the board, facilitating informed decision-making and driving organisational success

Essential Requirements of the Interim Finance Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified in either ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
  • Project Management qualification such as Prince2, Six Sigma, AgilePM, or Scrum

Experience:

  • Experience working within a large corporate environment
  • Track record of conducting a similar Finance Project position
  • Demonstrated track record at Senior Controller or Finance Director level is imperative
  • Extensive experience in successfully managing intricate interim assignments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience
  • Outstanding communication skills to effectively engage with and influence senior stakeholders.
