Junior Engineer required for our client, a UK-leading company within the wastewater solutions industry, specialising in the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of a range of pumped drainage solutions.
This is an opportunity to start within a niche industry with significant earning potential and training/development opportunities. The successful Junior Engineer will be based either in Worthing, or along the A23/M23 corridor, as the Lead Engineer they will be working with will travel to pick them up/drop them off on a daily basis.
The successful Junior Engineer will be travelling across the South with an experienced Lead Engineer, assisting on installations, routine servicing, and planned/reactive maintenance of a range of systems including pumping stations, rainwater harvesting systems, and sewage treatment plants.
Junior Engineer Position Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 in Electrical Installation (C&G 2365-02) - additional electrical qualifications highly desirable
- Based in either Worthing, or along with A23/M23 corridor (areas such as Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Crawley, Horley, East Grinstead, and Redhill - examples only)
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and working in confined spaces
- Full UK driving licence
Junior Engineer Position Remuneration
- Salary £24,000 - £27,000 (guide only - negotiable depending on experience)
- Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm
- Travel provided to and from sites, with hourly rate starting once on the road
- 29 days holiday, including bank holidays (rising to 31 with tenure)
- Overtime available, starting at 1.5x hourly rate (opportunity to realistically earn between £5k and £10k extra per year)
- No on call rota
