Reed Brighton is delighted to be partnering with a premium law firm in Brighton who are seeking an Office Host to join their team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). Hours are Mon - Fri 9am - 2pm (some flexibility required)

This role is pivotal in providing support to colleagues and offering exceptional hospitality to guests. The Office Host will be the face of the company, embodying the culture and standards by creating a positive, supportive, and respectful environment for everyone.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Serve as an ambassador, warmly welcoming all guests, managing their needs, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Maintain a tidy working environment, adhering to a clear desk policy.
  • Manage stock levels of consumables and stationery by coordinating with the central procurement team.
  • Assist the Hospitality Team with the setup and smooth running of events and lunches.
  • Prepare meeting rooms with refreshments and maintain their readiness.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post and parcels efficiently.
  • Orientate new joiners, providing office tours, introductions, and IT support.
  • Conduct regular floor walks to ensure printers and other equipment are fully stocked.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the office.
  • Liaise with the central Office Services Team to resolve operational issues.
  • Act as the primary operational support within the office, undertaking various tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Office Services Projects Manager to update office seating plans.
  • Host local events and manage the presentation of food and beverages.
  • Oversee contractors and report maintenance needs.
  • Represent all other Business Services teams locally.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Presentable and personable with adherence to a strict dress code; position is uniformed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate early starts or later finishes for events.
  • IT literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A proactive approach, willing to go above and beyond.
