The Qualifications You'll Need

  • Minimum seven years' experience required working in the field of application development.
  • Minimum three years' experience with team management
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer and in a leadership role within a technical delivery environment.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET framework and proficiency in C#, VB.NET, and other .NET languages.
  • Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles and experience in managing software development projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Your Responsibilities

  • To define and evolve the development processes, procedures, tools and techniques to ensure delivery of solutions.
  • To define the development teams' metrics and measures
  • Perform regular one-on-one team management and formal performance reviews - setting and grading quarterly objectives for each team member.
  • Foster and mentor development team members
  • To drive (where appropriate) a test-driven culture within the business
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Review processes, defects & live issues to improve development processes and aid in defect prevention.
  • Ensure that the tools and techniques employed by the development teams are kept up to date and are in line with industry best practices - including the use appropriate automation tools to optimise day to day tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a project delivery schedule, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility and resource availability for all projects.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits within the development team.
  • Identify and manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
  • Optimize and improve processes and methodologies to achieve more efficient delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to the development team.
