Senior HR Leader

We are looking to partner with a Senior HR Leader who would be open to relocating to the middle east for 3-6 months. This a contract opportunity working onsite for a banking client in the middle east. Flights and accommodation to be provided. Client and exact location to be discussed.

The objective is to define and implement a comprehensive HR framework including corporate title structure, role mapping, competency mapping, appraisal processes, training for all employees, devising the bank's reward process, and selection of an effective Human Resource Management System.

The consultant will be responsible for:

Corporate Title Structure

  • Analyzing current titles and roles.
  • Developing a clear and scalable title structure.
  • Aligning titles with industry standards and company strategy.

Role Mapping

  • Mapping existing roles to the new title structure.
  • Ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational needs.

Competency Mapping

  • Defining competencies required for each title and role.
  • Assessing current role holders against these competencies.
  • Identifying gaps and recommending development plans.

Objective and Appraisal Process

  • Designing an objective performance management process.
  • Developing appraisal tools and techniques.
  • Ensuring the process is fair, transparent, and aligned with company values.
  • Ensuring the process is in place to commence in time for the performance year 2025.

Reward Process

  • Designing the bank's reward process, particularly focusing on annual bonuses, in cooperation with the bank's remuneration committee.
  • Ensuring compliance with Central Bank regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and recommending instruments for managing deferred bonus payments.
  • Ensuring the annual bonus determination process is completed by the end of the year and payments are made by February 2025.

Training and Cultural Integration

  • Developing a comprehensive training program for all employees.
  • Conducting training sessions to ensure understanding and adoption of new processes.
  • Implementing strategies to embed these processes into the company's culture.

HRMS Implementation

  • Evaluating and recommending HRMS options.
  • Overseeing the implementation of the chosen system.
  • Ensuring integration with existing systems and processes.

Requirements

  • 15+ years HR experience within Investment Banking or Financial services.
  • Knowledge of HR policies in the middle east would be helpful but not essential.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills up to board level.
  • SME experience in:

  3. Policy preparation
  4. Presenting skills
  5. Design of core competencies
  6. Leadership skills
