Senior Accountant

Our client are a well established accountancy practice based in the Wiltshire, renowned for there comprehensive services and commitment to excellence. The firm provides a wide range of accounting, auditing, taxation, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, large corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.

Role Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, overseeing accounting processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting and a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Managing Partner and work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

  • Provide expert advice on accounting, taxation, and financial matters.

  1. Accounting and Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and review financial statements.

  • Oversee bookkeeping and ledger maintenance activities.

  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports.**Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in accounting and financial management.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on practice experience.

  • Proven track record in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality services.

  • Strong experience in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and conducting audits.

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
