Electrical Team Leader

Position: Electrical Team Leader
Department: Engineering
Salary: £56,810 per annum
Location: Rugby
Reports to: Electrical Co-Ordinator (Direct) / Engineering Manager (Functional)
Team Size: To be confirmed
Working Hours: Day Shift

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 08:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including service logs and budget tracking.

Maintenance and Servicing:

  • Perform and coordinate maintenance tasks on service equipment and manage contractor involvement for breakdowns.
  • Utilise the SAP system for ordering spare parts.
  • Conduct both planned and reactive electrical maintenance, including fault diagnosis and repair of installations and systems.
  • Plan and execute maintenance days and pit-stops.
  • Implement program upgrades and adjustments to machine programs and line controls.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all contractors have completed RAMS, inductions, and issued necessary PTW documents.
  • Keep all equipment calibrations current and scheduled to maintain compliance.

Collaboration and Development:

  • Work with Engineering Coordinators to develop SOPs and risk assessments for service equipment.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with the Engineering, Height Change/CI, and Production teams.

Software Utilisation:

  • Apply engineering software (e.g., TIA, Step 7) to perform job tasks effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Time-served apprentice level or equivalent in engineering, with a strong preference for HND/HNC qualifications.
  • Essential: Electrical qualification and PLC programming expertise.
  • Language: Proficient in English (both written and verbal).
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) and familiarity with Apriso and maintenance systems is a plus.
