A large and leading manufacturing organisation based near to Worcester. They are currently recruiting for a Procurement & Supply Manager who will focus on the development of the procurement and supply chain function and manage the cost-effective buying of parts, materials, equipment and services.
Your new role
The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will support the head of function in the development and delivery of the purchasing and supply chain function. The role will lead a small team and will be responsible for the development of the supply chain strategy to ensure cost management efficiencies and that supplier performance is maximised. The Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will create and lead category management and purchase order management strategies. The post holder will also implement process changes and drive continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
It is vital that you are a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager with a strong background within an engineering-based manufacturing, automotive or aerospace organisation. You will have expertise in purchasing management, supplier management, contract management and category management. You will be able to develop and lead the implementation of purchasing & supply chain management strategies, to business partner senior internal stakeholders and to create effective supplier relationships.
