We are seeking a committed and meticulous Quality Assurance Engineer to join our client who manufacture specialised systems for the defence sector based in Stockport. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our industrial and manufacturing products.

Description

Your key responsibilities as Quality Assurance Engineer are;

  • Development and management of all quality assurance database and systems used by the business.
  • To understand the customer requirements to develop, implement and monitor effective quality assurance and control processes to improve/maintain the quality of products and processes.
  • Prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.
  • Perform relevant audits and product risk analysis as when required.
  • Manage and maintain all documents, both physical and electronic, in a systematic and organized manner as per the business IMS.
  • Numbering, registration, distribution and tracking of change control documentation such as Technical Query, Change Request etc.
  • Provide an auditable trail of incoming and outgoing documentation for all projects using the company IMS to meet customer requirements.
  • Recording of traceability and completing of checks for accompanying certification to meet customer expectations.
  • Compilation/Collation of build pack documentation to support product release.
  • Liaise with the customers Quality Assurance Representatives (GQA) as and when required.

Profile

A successful Quality Assurance Engineer you should have:

  • Educated to degree level, HNC or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
  • Internal auditor
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of document and traceability systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant accreditations.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Cpk, R&R, SPC, FMEA, Control plans.
