This long-term position, starting asap, is perfect for someone committed to supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet student's individual needs
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them engage and succeed in their learning
- Supporting student's emotional and social development in a safe, inclusive environment
- Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive, structured learning space
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience supporting students with SEN needs
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children and young people
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
- Hold an EWC or willingness to apply for one
