Pay rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour - Based on Days/Weekend Shifts Full UK Drivers license required due to tasks required whilst on shift.Shift Pattern:Monday 7am - 5pm,Tuesday 11am - 6pm,Wednesday 10am - 9:30pm,Thursday 11am - 6pm,Friday 11am, 6pm,Sat 11am-6pmLocation: ChorleyUnfortunately we cannot provide VISAsponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based within a commutable distance to Chorley.This role will be supporting a gentleman who presents disabilities closely associated to cerebral palsy and has other cognitive disabilities, disabilities with social and communication functioning.He requires a strong Support Worker who can accompany him during his day to day activities which includes attending college classes and being out in the community.This is a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with all aspects of daily living
- Be a strong companion
- Accompany the client to physio sessions
- Support with personal care
- Provide regular prompts when it comes to personal behaviour
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You'll need to have:
- Worked as a carer previously in the UK (Preferably atleast 3 months experience)
- Experience working closely with families of the supported (Preferred)
- Experience managing cerebral palsy would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience working with brain injuries would be beneficial but not essential
- Full UK drivers license is MANDATORY to be considered for this role
- Clinical experience would be beneficial but not essential, as you will potentially have to assist with various duties as well as personal care.
