My client is a luxury student accommodation provider. The company is ambitious, thriving, and has an innovative and inclusive spirit. They are seeking a dynamic individual to join the Property Team. You will be responsible for maintaining their properties at a high standard.

You'll support the delivery of an excellent experience to their residents, team, and visitors. You will work with speed and have an awareness of Health and Safety issues and legal requirements.

In addition, you'll be proactive with your approach to use initiative and assist with resolving problems that occur by informing the Maintenance team and General Manager.

What you'll be doing:

  • Rotating the bins in the bin store and manual handling large bins to the refuse collection areas promptly.
  • Compacting large volumes of cardboard using the cardboard compactor (training will be provided).
  • Checking the car park and ensuring cars are parked in their designated bays.
  • Delivering excellent service to customers and stakeholders.
  • Undertaking regular building patrols.
  • Cleaning the communal areas inside and outside including:
  • Litter picking.
  • Sweeping the courtyard area
  • Ensuring the communal lounges, lift lobbies, and reception areas are kept clean.
  • Hoovering carpets
  • Washing floors
  • Cleaning any glass surfaces
  • Dusting all surfaces including skirting boards
  • Jet washing floors

Due to the nature of our business and this specific role, there are other ad-hoc tasks that occur throughout the annual lifecycle - this JD is not exhaustive.

Who you are:

  • Are you a friendly person who loves talking to and meeting people?
  • A great listener?
  • Sensible and calm under pressure?
  • Caring, and have a positive attitude?
  • Enjoy providing a warm welcome to visitors, parents/ carers, residents, couriers and contractors?
  • Engaging and want to help our residents have the best experience ever?
  • Do you have good common sense and are eager to help out and find solutions?
  • Take pride in your appearance and how you communicate with others?
  • Can you organise yourself and work through a list of set tasks within a certain time frame?
  • Speak other languages? An amazing bonus as 80% of our residents are international.
  • Are you a great time-keeper?
  • Flexible in your approach to work tasks? This will help support other property teams.
  • Do you have a good level of computer literacy?
