Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified French Language Teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French to students across Key Stage 3 as well as some PHSE lessons, helping them develop their language skills and cultural understanding.
Week A: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Week B: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive French lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department to share best practices and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Specialism in French language and culture, with a strong academic background in French studies.
- Experience teaching French at Key Stages 3 and 4 within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position starting after the Easter break and concluding in July, with the possibility of continuation into the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
