Salary: Up to £85,000 base + £8,500 car allowance
On Target Earnings (OTE): £170,000

About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Central Government Account Director to join a leading IT services provider, with a focus on central government clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT sales professional who is well-versed in both account management and new business development, particularly within the central government space.

Key Points:

  • Client Focus: You'll be selling IT services primarily to central government customers, with a heavy emphasis on new business (70%) while also managing existing accounts (30%).
  • Target Accounts: Experience or connections within the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) are highly advantageous, as they are one of the key clients.
  • Sales Process: You'll be responsible for the entire sales cycle-from prospecting to closing-ensuring tailored solutions for government clients.

Ideal Candidate:

  • IT Sales Background: Must have a strong track record in selling IT services.
  • Government Sector Experience: Prior experience selling into central government is essential. MOJ experience or connections would be a significant plus.
  • New Business Development: Proven ability to drive new business, consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Account Management: Experience in managing and expanding key government accounts.

  • Experience of Microsoft, Cisco and AWS.
  • Experience of working across Public Sector frameworks, locally and nationally.
  • Experienced in developing pricing/business case models through effective benefits management.
  • Has strong and demonstrable planning, communication and presentation skills.
  • Is familiar with the structure, skills and business environment of local government organisations.
  • Is customer focussed, with professional services orientation.
  • Can quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of the customer's organisation and requirements.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: Up to £85,000
  • Car Allowance: £8,500
  • OTE: £170,000
