HDR Litigation retrain to risk & compliance

A reputable law firm in Manchester has a fantastic opportunity for a HDR Litigator to retrain into Risk & Compliance. The firm is known for its commitment to excellence and offers a supportive and collaborative working environment.

This is a brilliant opportunity for HDR litigators seeking an alternate career path. You will need to have some strong litigation experience and ideally have been working within housing disrepair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Compliance Manager in managing compliance-related issues across the firm.
  • Maintain and update various central risk registers, including complaints and professional indemnity notifications.
  • Liaise with other members of the Business Support Group on relevant projects.
  • Assist in conducting file reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research in all areas of risk management to support the compliance function.
  • Stay updated with the latest legal and regulatory information and changes, ensuring the firm remains compliant.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience in housing disrepair.
  • Understanding of compliance and risk management principles.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive approach to staying updated with legal and regulatory changes.
