Our client, a leader in designing and manufacturing electronic systems for a wide range of industrial applications, is seeking a skilled professional to join their innovative team.
Location: West Midlands Wednesbury.
Position: Electronics and Embedded Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced electronic systems.
- Take full responsibility for the electronics and firmware design of assigned products.
- Collaborate with the Head of Electronics and the engineering team at the factory in West Midlands.
- Contribute new and innovative ideas to enhance product development.
- Design electronic systems using CAD to produce schematics and board layouts.
- Program firmware for microcontrollers, with a focus on STM32.
- Organise prototypes and oversee validation testing.
- Manage projects to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Provide technical support for in-service products.
Essential Skills:
A degree-level qualification in electronics or embedded software, or an equivalent qualification.
A passion for embedded electronics, demonstrated by a portfolio of projects.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and experience in:
Electronic systems design
Microcontroller programming, particularly STM32
CAD-based PCB layout
Bluetooth and IoT technology
R&D project management
