Sustainability LCA Specialist/Assessor

About the Role:

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated LCA Assessor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) services to our clients, helping them achieve their decarbonisation targets and sustainability ambitions. This role is integral to supporting our mission of driving sustainable practices across the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for products and services across construction sectors, with a focus on manufacturing.
  • Utilize LCA methodologies and tools to analyze and interpret sustainability data.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals and deliver tailored LCA solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Prepare detailed LCA reports, presenting findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest carbon and environmental accounting standards, ensuring compliance in all LCA activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives for clients.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
  • Take initiative in identifying and solving problems, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects.

About You:

  • Education: Degree in a related field (Engineering, Environmental Science) with a focus on life cycle assessment.

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in delivering product life cycle assessments, ideally in manufacturing or related industries.

  • Expertise: Deep expertise and practical experience in applying product LCA methodologies and tools, with a strong understanding of sustainability data and IT systems.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with carbon and environmental accounting standards and experience in sustainability reporting.

  • Skills:

  • Very strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also being comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues.

  • Attributes: Initiative-taking, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
