About the Role:
As a Sales Estimator, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the sales function, turning client enquiries into accurate, professional quotes and helping ensure a seamless transition from sales to project execution. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong technical and commercial awareness who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately price and prepare estimates based on drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Director and Sales team to manage the quoting process.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain timely and competitive pricing.
- Provide clients with detailed project documentation, datasheets, and visuals.
- Coach and support junior team members in quote production and process management.
- Prioritise quotes based on deadlines and strategic impact.
- Maintain accuracy in opportunity values and ensure smooth sales-to-operations handover.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience estimating within the lighting, electrical, or building services sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software and comfortable working with technical drawings.
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
