Fluxia is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks to join our dynamic team in Manchester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll play a crucial role in designing cutting-edge mechanical solutions across a range of industries.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Utilise SolidWorks to design and develop innovative mechanical solutions, from concept through to production
  • Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings to communicate design intent effectively
  • Conduct thorough analysis and simulation using SolidWorks tools to validate designs and ensure performance and reliability
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, testing results, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Document design decisions, specifications, and test results in accordance with company standards
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and SolidWorks software

Experiences required

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a focus on using SolidWorks for design and modelling
  • Proficiency in creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design best practices
  • Experience with analysis and simulation tools within SolidWorks
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
