Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, administration, and execution of all conferences, events, and workshops.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, board members, and the office to ensure smooth event operations.
- Design event marketing materials to promote upcoming events.
- Maintain regular communication with external stakeholders to coordinate logistics and ensure their needs are met.
- Create event listings and maintain the events page on various platforms.
- Work on event budgets, ensuring expenses are properly allocated and managed.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and efficiency in event management.
- Provide cover for other team members when they are sick or on leave, ensuring events run smoothly.
- Report to the Events and Conference Coordinator, providing updates on event progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in event planning or administration is strongly preferred.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in using social media platforms for event promotion.
- Creativity and an eye for design to create engaging event marketing materials.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
