TRAINEE MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN - M4 CORRIDOR

Location: M4 Corridor

Our client is one of the UK's longest established specialist providers of air hygiene and water treatment solutions. Operating on a national basis, our client works with a range of clients within high security establishments, healthcare, local government, education, and more.

With the Head Office based in Bristol, the business has specialist teams of technicians across the UK.

The trainee mechanical technician will be working on-site at various locations throughout England, requiring a willingness to travel and stay away from home. Given that many of the work sites are high security, successful candidates will need to undergo security vetting, ranging from baseline enhanced DBS checks to high-level security clearance.

The role involves gaining experience in the installation of heating and ventilating ductwork and related tasks.

Key Tasks Include:

Replacement of fire dampers, including necessary ductwork modifications.

Installation and modification of ducting and fire dampers.

Testing and inspection of fire dampers.

Maintenance and pre-planned maintenance of air handling units.

Service and repairs of air handling units, HVAC heating and ventilation services, and associated equipment.

Conducting site surveys and problem solving.

Submitting all reports, survey forms, and job sheets.

Ideal Experience:

Fire damper testing.

Ventilation duct installation.

Experience in heating/ventilation repair and maintenance.

NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Heating & Ventilation Ductwork Installation - sponsored by the business after 6 months, subject to performance.
