A customer-focused, highly technical, and enthusiastic Field Engineer is needed to provide on-site break/fix repair services for desktop PCs, laptops, and servers. This mobile-based role offers a competitive salary plus fantastic benefits!

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing IT hardware, managing customer relations, and supporting various technical projects. You will also provide telephone support to customers when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing on-site break/fix repair services for desktop PCs, laptops, and servers.
  • Maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring clear communication regarding repair status.
  • Fully updating job details before leaving customer sites.
  • Regularly communicating with the call allocation team.
  • Completing all allocated work within the working day.
  • Ensuring service administration is up-to-date.
  • Maintaining and managing allocated boot stock and company vehicle.
  • Locating and managing parts allocated for jobs.
  • Providing telephone support on the helpdesk as required.
  • Assisting in the Repair Centre if needed.
  • Complying with internal management systems and safety procedures.
  • Supporting the company's corporate social responsibility strategy.
  • Undertaking any other duties or projects as requested by the reporting manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full driving licence.
  • Previous experience in field service repair work.
  • Strong knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware break/fix methodologies.

  • CompTIA A+
  • Lenovo RWST217
  • CSCS/ECS Card

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Server hardware repair knowledge and understanding of server technologies.
