Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for Control Room Supervisor to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Caxton Place, Cardiff

Key Responsibilities:

  • To adhere to the company's policies, procedures and escalations. Follow and ensure instructions are followed as listed in the Control Room Manual and appendices.
  • To ensure all static and mobile officers are booked on and off duty and ensure their health and safety while on duty via regular check calls. Recording any occurrences that happen on assignments and offering support. Records are maintained.
  • To ensure the accurate recording and reporting of all occurrence's and incidents. To submit this information accordingly in a daily report and for the attention of the control room Manager.
  • To ensure all staff are continuously trained to a high standard and records maintained.
  • Ensure all records held at control room are accurate and up to date I.e. assignment instructions, Key holdings, Mobile location reports Etc. For immediate response to emergencies.
  • Manning a helpdesk to which employees can call for information guidance or support to help deal with daily issues that have not been addressed by Operations or administration staff satisfactorily.
  • Ensure requests for additional work by clients are actioned and logged.
  • Ensure Timegate is used effectively accurately and to its full potential. Making sure that the audit trail comments are accurate and meaningful.
  • To ensure that all staff are trained and competent in National Support Centre processes and procedures. To ensure that operators carryout their role confidently and to a high standard
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with control room procedures and the Control Room Manual. Keep complaints to a minimum and put measures in place to prevent reoccurring issues.
  • To ensure manning is maintained at a level sufficient for all of the control room duties and support functions to be completed without issue
  • To identify and implement positive development for all activities, processes and procedures concerning the control room and its staff.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Good Communication skills, Good PC skills and an awareness of Microsoft Word Excel etc.
  • Basic level of education preferred. 5 O levels or GCSE, Including English and Maths.
  • SIA frontline essential for the role.
  • Site Basic Job Training, Professional security officer / Advanced security officer preferred but not a requirement.
  • Effective communication and report writing skills. Able to evaluate information and action accordingly.
  • Evaluating situations and prioritizing work. Liaising at all levels. IT Knowledge. An eye for detail. Keyboard skills. Knowledge of control room. Good Organizational Skills. Able to motivate self and others
  • Confident and smart with an outgoing personality. Able to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Supportive and willing to help.
  • A team player that is flexible and would volunteer rather than wait to be asked.
  • Able to motivate and boost morale. Able to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures
  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels
