This role has a starting salary of £26,777 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity.

About the Role
As an Administration Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to a front-line operational team. We are often the first point of contact for the public and it is therefore important to be positive, polite and ensure we promote Surrey's values.

We think the role of an Administration Assistant is the perfect first step into the incredibly rewarding world of Adult Social Care, you will gain a good insight into the various roles involved in social care and what our practitioners do.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be expected to deal with complex telephone enquiries and a wide range of correspondence and scanning duties. Additionally, you will be asked to take notes, and minutes of meetings and be entering data on both the mainframe database and Excel spreadsheets.

Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills
  • Passion for customer service and your desire to support both the team and wider Surrey residents
  • Sound knowledge of IT packages such as Excel, Word, and databases and your quick and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Note-taking and minute-taking skills
