As the Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will oversee daily instrumentation activities in the test lab, focusing on calibration, maintenance, data acquisition, and operational excellence.

Description

As the Senior Instrumentation Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the Instrumentation Team or 2 to 5 members, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient operations.
  • This includes skill development, recruitment, and career development.
  • Specify electro-pneumatic and servo-hydraulic components for test rigs and ensure that suitable electronic controllers are selected.
  • Liaise with suppliers to develop control and data acquisition systems.
  • Maintain electronic control and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with the latest safety regulations.
  • Maintain electronic control and instrumentation systems.
  • Develop technical solutions to meet engineering and customer testing requirements.

Profile

A successful Senior Instrumentation Engineer should have:

  • Demonstrable experience as an instrumentation engineer.
  • Team management experience.
  • Engineering degree or HND in Electronic/Electrical/Calibration/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Understanding of legislation and regulations for calibration and maintenance of test rigs.
  • Familiarity with the latest test engineering methods, technologies, and software.
  • Experience with health and safety (H&S) requirements in a testing environment.
  • Experience in R&D environment.
  • Computer literacy with a proven track record of using technical software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in planning and time management.
