Business Development Manager

Job Overview: The Business Development Manager will support and ensure the Energy Services Customer Service Team delivers excellent customer service and exceeds customer expectations. The role includes managing the order process, maximising team productivity, and driving new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Identify Opportunities:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to explore new markets, growth areas, and customers.

  • Seek out and connect with the appropriate contacts in organisations.

  • Lead Generation and Client Interaction:

  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.

  • Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone.

  • Foster and develop relationships with customers to generate repeat business and find new opportunities.

  • Contract and Campaign Management:

  • Work with the Marketing Team to draw up client contracts.

  • Support bid-writing for new contracts where appropriate.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create sales campaigns.

  • CRM and Analysis:

  • Ensure CRM is kept up to date for accurate sales forecasts and analysis.

  • Understand the business's products or services and advise others about them.

  • Cyber Security:

  • Complete Cyber Security Essentials training annually.

  • Take individual responsibility for cyber and information security, immediately reporting any security concerns and copying your line manager.
