We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to the positive ethos of our school.

Role and Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and helping to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Supervising children during breaks and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Supporting the social and emotional development of students.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of school events and activities.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Liaising with parents and carers, as needed, to support students' learning and development.

Qualifications and Skills: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
