The Role:
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator, you will evaluate vehicle damage and prepare detailed repair estimates.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect damaged vehicles to determine repair requirements.
- Prepare precise and comprehensive repair estimates using manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Order necessary parts and materials for vehicle repairs.
- Monitor repair progress to ensure adherence to high standards.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding repair costs and timelines.
- Stay updated with manufacturer repair methods and industry practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain workshop standards, ensuring a clean and organised environment.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator or in a similar role in an accident repair centre.
- Understanding of vehicle repair methods, materials, and costs.
- Skilled in using manufacturer repair data and industry guidelines.
- Strong ability to build rapport with customers and insurance companies.
- Familiarity with the Audatex system would be beneficial.
- Valid UK driving licence.
