Our client, a reputable company in the Electrical Distribution industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the purchasing manager. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the team, assisting with various tasks such as processing purchase orders, tracking inventory, and maintaining supplier relationships. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Track inventory and monitor stock levels, proactively identifying any discrepancies or shortages. You will be required to check this in the Warehouse through out the day
  • Maintain supplier relationships, including negotiating terms and managing contracts
  • Handle queries and provide support to internal stakeholders as necessary
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and maintenance
  • Contribute to the overall success of the team by actively participating in team meetings and sharing best practises

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Administration Assistant, preferably in a purchasing or procurement role
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes and contract management is a plus
