A one-form entry, Halewood-based primary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated SEN Learning Support Assistant, who can provide one to one support for a Foundation Stage Pupil.
The successful candidate will need to hold at least NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications, have had experience of working with children and of leading small group interventions. Knowledge of working in Foundation Stage would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be:
- Resilient and positive, showing initiative and flexibility;
- Be able to work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher;
- Confident with supporting a child with accessing learning in Foundation Stage;
- Firm, consistent and fun;
- Approachable, patient and understanding;
- Have a good sense of humour.
Visits/trials at the school can be arranged prior to half-term.
