A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a manufacturing business for a Systems Accountant to join their team located in Ferndown area. Possessing decades of experience in delivering exceptional products and services to their clients, this business is a market leader in their field and are growing many of their core functions due to continued growth and successful across the business.

This will prove to be a vital role within the team, not only having oversight for many transactional finance elements which remain of the highest importance, but the position holder will also have the exciting opportunity to work closely with the finance team to find ways of improving the accounting systems used by the business, alongside the processes and seeking ways of improving automation, thus highlighting a potentially dynamic and motivating role for the incumbent to sink their teeth into and really make their own.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing assistance with system related issues, seeking proactive resolutions as quickly as possible
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement with the accounting system, business processes and identifying any opportunities to enhance automation
  • Supporting the team with handling manual billing duties
  • Overseeing the invoice processing for the business, ensuring this is done accurately and timely
  • Processing credit notes on the system
  • Supporting with the processing of financial transactions
  • Additional duties when required by the wider team

What you will need to Apply:

The ideal applicant for this role will have good experience working within a finance department and will have previous experience handling invoicing, billing and credit notes. Applicants should be highly proficient with finance systems and be able to competently look for opportunities to improve and optimise the use of these. Specific exposure to SAP and Salesforce would be ideal for this opportunity. Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset would be highly valuable.
