Location: Manchester

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

The Advocate Group are proud to be partnering with this Manchester based business, who are, a leading FMCG organisation with blue chip capability and a disruptor mindset.

Backed by their collaborative, make it happen culture, the team is responsible for transitioning the success of leading restaurant and coffee shop brands like Nando's, Costa, Wagamama and Pret into the world of grocery retail.

The business are looking for a Finance Manager to join the team, who will lead on stat reporting, improving financial processes as well as leading a team of 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure internal management reporting and external statutory reporting is completed accurately and on time
  • Ensure month end procedures and timelines are adhered to
  • Assist the Financial Controller in preparation of the financial statements
  • Be the primary lead for the external audit
  • Ensure financial procedures are being adhered to by the team and that master data is accurately maintained within Sage
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects within the finance team
  • Manage and complete plastic tax, PSA and P11D submissions
  • Through self and direct reports (where relevant and appropriate) manage and process monthly payroll on time, in full, no errors
  • Support and assist our Financial Controller when required
  • Ensure the company is always professionally represented, both inside and outside the business, and ensure legal compliance
  • Constantly review process and procedure within the role and make recommendations for improvement
  • Be an active and vocal member of the Finance team
  • Fully implement all Talent Management processes to develop direct report's individual skills, facilitate individual personal development and achieve constantly increasing operational output and standards
  • Continuously learn and develop skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil the short- and long-term objectives of the organisation to achieve constantly increasing operational output and standards
