Morgan McKinley are headhunting on behalf of a leading legal firm who are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their dynamic Innovation Department, providing essential support to their Corporate and Innovation teams. You will work closely with the Head of BD and BD Managers on various initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:
- Prepare directory and award submissions with Fee Earners.
- Produce credential statements, pitch documents, presentations, marketing materials, and client communications.
- Manage event planning, including invitations, attendee lists, event support, and follow-up communications.
- Coordinate Partner and Fee Earner attendance at conferences and exhibitions.
- Maintain and update data in HubSpot and Interaction to support BD events and initiatives.
- Prepare documentation for business development meetings.
- Support BD Managers in planning and organizing client-focused events and digital sessions.
- Ensure business development content on internet and intranet is current and relevant.
Ideal Skills and Experience of the Business Development Executive:
- Minimum one year of experience in a BD role in legal, private client, or professional services.
- Proficient in desktop publishing, especially PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Strong time management skills, able to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proactive and self-sufficient with good initiative.
- Personable, confident, and capable of building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- Effective communicator at all levels.
