Senior Management Accountant

Marks Sattin is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation in the Walsall area who are looking to add a Senior Management Accountant to their team. The position is a full-time, permanent position and will require 5 days per week on-site.

My client is a reputable B2B manufacturer who produce goods for some of the worlds most recognisable brands. The company are going through an exciting time and have ambitious plans to grow further.

The Senior Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will provide commercial insight and analysis for the Senior Leadership Team to aid key decision making. You will also support the Financial Controller in the budgeting & forecasting process and will also business partner with non-finance stakeholders to drive financial performace.

Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant will include:

  • Supervision of two Accounts Assistants
  • Supporting the Financial Controller and SLT to identify suitable KPIs to monitor business performance that have a direct impact on financial results
  • Developing financial models to track key metrics and trend analysis
  • Highlighting risks and opportunities through the provision sound financial analysis and commercial insight
  • Supporting the Financial Controller as required with ad-hoc projects
  • Preparing accurate cash forecasting based upon expected daily sales invoicing and supplier payments to enable Group wide management of cash flow
  • Monitoring and reporting to the SLT on debtor and creditor terms and ensuring risks are highlighted and actioned
  • Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all General Ledger Balance Sheet accounts
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Monthly Management Accounts reconciled to the General Ledger

To be considered you must:

  • Have a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or by Qualified by Experience
  • Have experience in a similar position
  • Ideally have experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Be within a commutable distance to the offices as the position requires 5 days per week on-site
  • Have a good understanding of financial controls and processes
  • Have experience of financial forecasting and planning
  • Be a proficient Excel user and comfortable extracting data from ERP systems
  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Have a natural drive to improve processes where necessary
  • Be a great communicator with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders within a fast paced environment
