We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of DT Product Design to join our secondary school in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact in a thriving and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • **Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is essential.
  • Experience teaching DT Product Design at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the DT curriculum and contemporary teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lessons in DT Product Design to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Product Design and incorporate them into your teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, clubs, and events.
